Nathan Leake

Nathan Leake was born and raised in Wollongong, giving him a strong connection to the Illawarra region and a deep understanding of the needs of local families and businesses. His journey with Smart Financial began in 2015 as a high school work experience student, before commencing a formal cadetship with the firm after graduation.

Nathan went on to complete a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Financial Planning, at the University of Wollongong. He later broadened his expertise in Sydney, specialising in complex high-net-worth advice, before returning home in 2024 to rejoin Smart Financial. Having completed his Professional Year, he is now a fully licensed Financial Adviser, proud to deliver tailored strategies that help clients achieve both lifestyle and long-term financial goals.

Alongside his professional career, Nathan contributes to his community as Treasurer of the Shellharbour Sharks Rugby League Football Club, combining his passion for sport with his financial skills.

Outside of work, Nathan enjoys playing and watching sport, hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors. He has also set himself two personal challenges for the year ahead: becoming conversational in Spanish and completing the Inca Trail and Rainbow Mountain trek in Peru.
