The i98FM Illawarra Convoy is one of the region’s most iconic community events, bringing together thousands of people each year to raise funds for individuals and families affected by life-threatening conditions. This year, Smart Financial is proud to be involved in two special ways, and we’d love our clients, friends and local community to join us.
For more than 10 years, Smart Financial Director and Adviser Franz Kalchbauer has participated in the Convoy, riding his motorbike alongside family and friends from Appin to Shellharbour. Over the years, Franz has witnessed firsthand with one of his close friends being the beneficiary of the incredible generosity, community spirit and impact this event has across the Illawarra.
This year, we’re inviting our clients to be part of the Smart Financial Convoy crew. Better still, we’ll donate your Convoy entry fee on your behalf. If you’ve ever wanted to experience the excitement of travelling with the Convoy, now is the perfect opportunity. If riding isn’t for you, you’re invited to watch the Convoy from the comfort of our Shellharbour Road location. With a prime view of the route as hundreds, of vehicles pass by and turn onto Lake Entrance Road, it’s a spectacular and heartwarming sight.
The Figtree Lions Club will be serving bacon and egg rolls and a sausage sizzle, Coffee Next Door will be pouring coffee and scooping ice creams, and Stone Valley Bakehouse will be supplying warm pies and sweet pastries.
We’re excited to host and donate to this wonderful cause, which provides ongoing support to families affected by potentially life-threatening medical conditions through food and fuel vouchers, medical equipment, pharmacy accounts and more.
