September update from our CEO, Michael Misiti

So far, September has been another full and rewarding month, and it’s been fantastic to see so much positive momentum across the business. We also took some time to recognise Father’s Day, which serves as a reminder of the steady guidance, reliability and thoughtful approach that so many of the men in our team bring to their work each day, and are valuable qualities that help our clients navigate important financial decisions.

You may have heard, the Age Pension rises as of Saturday 20 September. The maximum single Age Pension rises $36.80 to $1,237.70 a fortnight, and couples go up $55.60 to $1,866.00 combined, flowing through from the first pay period on or after that date. The part to pay attention to is that deeming rates rise half a percentage point on exactly the same day, so part-pensioners will not keep all of the increase, while full-rate pensioners are unaffected by that second change. If you sit somewhere in the middle and to get the best out of your entitlements, have a chat with your adviser.

Our Director and Adviser, Franz Kalchbauer has a long history of riding his motorbike in the i98FM Illawarra Convoy and invites any of you with wheels to join him at the starting line, and we’ll happily donate your entry fee.
