Building the Next Generation of Advisers

Building the Next Generation of Advisers

Recently, Franz Kalchbauer and I joined our peers at the Principals’ Community Forum, as part of an invitation to share personal and practical insights into why investing in the next generation of financial advisers has been one of my priorities since day one.

I have seen first-hand, how building capability within our business provides stability for our clients during every life-stage, and especially as they journey into retirement.

I shared how this is something I established in the beginning, in 2007, by purposely designing a Cadetship Program to serve as a professional pathway to thoroughly train and develop future financial advisers.

What we do is, blend university theory with real client work, strong compliance foundations, and close collaboration with our team of Directors and established Advisers, to ensure they are learning within a highly supervised and monitored mentoring space.

We believe this develops our people to be as ethical, as they are competent, while also cultivating a high level of integrity, professionalism, honesty and care. And these are the only type of people we want working for our clients here at Smart Financial.
